Can You Jump Your Own Pieces In Checkers? Jump Yourself?

Checkers is an easy game to learn, but there are always questions around how the pieces move and jump.

Can You Jump Your Own Pieces In Checkers?

No. A checker—either a regular piece or a king—can’t jump its own color pieces. You can only jump your opponent’s pieces.

Jumping yourself is never allowed, neither as a way of moving a piece that’s behind another piece nor to jump and remove one of your own pieces from the board.

Don’t try to jump over your own piece in checkers. Stick to jumping your opponent’s pieces only!
