Checkers is an easy game to learn, but there are always questions around how the pieces move and jump.
Can You Jump a King in Checkers?
Yes. You can jump a king, either with a regular piece or a king.
With a regular piece, you can only jump diagonally forward. With a king, you can jump diagonally forward or backward.
Kings have more freedom of movement to avoid being jumped, but they have no special defensive ability. If they’re in position to be jumped, they will get taken.
You can only jump your opponent’s pieces or kings, not your own.
